TBA Hosted by the North Carolina Black Repertory Company, the National Black Theatre Festival is a biennial Winston-Salem event celebrating excellence in professional black theatre. Catch performances of 20 new and classic works over six days. Past festival chairpersons have included Debbie Allen-Nixon (1997), Dr. Maya Angelou (1989), Sidney Poitier (1993) and Denzel Washington (1991).

Annual Apple Fest Sep 20 Bethabara park invites everyone down to celebrate the annual apple harvest in style. There are unique crafts, food and beverage, and traditional music featured in the park. Antique farm equipment is put on display, and visitors can learn about the surrounding orchards and their histories.

Annual Spring Festival TBA Every year the Old Salem Museum hosts a Spring festival to ring in the season. Past festivals have focused on the production of wool and fleece in an area, as well as local pottery, art, and farming. The festival is a great way to spend time with the family and learn something in the process.
